OUR
TRAINING INSTITUTE
Inner Voyage Holistic Human development is a registered Australian Business. We are therefore accountable to the Australian Government and required by law to operate in a responsible and lawful manner.
IVHHD is privately owned and operated and we have three specific aspects to our business.
1/ We are a Meditation
Teacher Training Institute.
We provide comprehensive training via our off-campus (home study) and intensive face-to-face training retreats for people who wish to work as Meditation Teachers and Holistic Counsellor's in a professional capacity via the IVHHD Certificate in Meditation Teaching and Holistic Human Development. We also provide post-graduate course that lead to the IVHHD Diploma in Meditation Teaching and Holistic Human Development.
2/ We are an industry support organization that assists postgraduate students (registered associate practitioners)to establish and run their own holistic wellbeing businesses in an ethical, professional and successful manner.
3/We are a Meditation School and through our comprehensively trained Registered Practitioners, we conduct a wide range of Meditation and personal development class throughout Australia.
IVHHD is an innovative organization that blends the ancient traditions of Meditation with modern scientific research and the advances of technology. This allows us to bring our students the best of the past, the present and the future.
1/Through our off-campus delivery methods and our intensive residential retreat training courses we can offer students, who live in remote areas and who may otherwise be unable to access this kind of training the opportunity to gain the skills and qualifications they requite to pursue rewarding careers in the wellbeing industry.
2/We choose our staff members based on them being the best in their field. All of our teachers must have substantial experience in the wellbeing industry, have run their own private practice and have completer our training course with honors, before embarking on our rigorous teacher training program.
OUR HISTORY
The Inner Voyage training course and associated practitioner registration was formalized in January 2009.
Prior to this our founder and principal, Jennifer Cunningham, established a career as a meditation teacher and holistic counsellor, spanning some 25 years and began training other people to be meditation teachers on an informal level, around a decade ago. These teachers have gone on to establish their own businesses individually.
The formalization of the course and the associate practitioner membership was designed to overcome the pitfalls most people face when they endeavor to work for themselves within the holistic wellbeing industry.
Regardless of how well trained a practitioner is, issues like small business management, marketing and mentoring can often severely limit their success. The associate practitioner membership provides a range of support services, designed to overcome these issues.
Our training material is based on solid medical, physiological and psychological research coupled with ancient traditions from a broad range of cultures.
The Inner Voyage training program has been designed to meet the needs of individual students regardless of culture.
Our students are supported prior to their contact training course by qualified teachers who are always available to them via email and telephone, while they work through their preparatory lessons in the comfort of their own homes.
Our retreat students are then provided with quality face-to-face training at the residential retreat.
Our off-campus students are provided with solid ongoing support through their study program with regular contact with their teachers via email and telephone.
Once our students graduate they are supported through our Practitioner Support Centre. They receive all the equipment, support and business mentoring they need to turn their passions into rewarding careers.
We also have a virtual student lounge where our students and practitioners can communicate with each other, share information and gain peer support.
Many prospective students are curious about accreditation and where their certificate will be recognized…Meditation is a difficult modality to have recognized under any government department at this stage. However there are several natural therapies bodies that do recognize Meditation as a holistic therapy and we are continuing to work toward bringing our course content inline with their requirements. At this stage our courses are IMTA accredited. Our students are able to register with IMTA and obtain professional insurance.
Our institute is located on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia but our students come from all over the country (and the World) to train as Meditation Teachers and Holistic Counsellor's so they can go forward and bring the healing and life affirming benefits of meditation (in all its traditions) and holistic wellbeing to all who seek to improve the quality of their own lives…and who want to make a positive difference in the lives of others, where ever they are.

OUR VISION FOR THE FUTURE
We have big plans and we would love you to be a part of them... Our vision is currently focused on achieving the following goals.
1/To actively promote Meditation, as a grounded, positive, natural and self-empowering tool that is available to all people at all times and when used will not only significantly improve each persons ability to better cope with life; it will drastically improve their health and enhance the quality of their life, without limits.
2/ To gain public and official recognition for Meditation as a healing modality.
3/ To set world standards for the training of Meditation teachers outside of traditional and religious disciplines.
4/ To bring an awareness of Meditation and an understanding of its practices and benefits to as many people as possible.
5/ To simply offer something that is good, wholesome and accessible that shines a little guiding light into, what is too often, a world that has become too hectic and confusing for many.
